I'm alive.  ALIIIIIIIVE!

First off, I must apologize.  I know that I have neglected this here blog lately, but here's the thing: I got a job!  A real-life, overtime-paying, god-I-love-it job.  The downside to this job is that I can't surf the net all day finding things to blog about, because I would probably get fired.  And although I love this blog, I do not love it enough to get fired for it.

Also, I am currently living in a place where I have to share a computer that is not my own.  Hopefully once I find my own place, I can get back to regular postings.  So thanks for understanding!

A solution to Lawsuits

One of my clever blogger buddies, Co'Joe, has found this hysterical essay on stupid lawsuits and the solution to them.  You need to read it.  Seriously.  Right now.  Not only is it slap-your-knee funny, it also really says something about the state of our society.

And make sure you check out the rest of Co'Joe's blog, because in addition to being clever, he has two other attributes that I love: 1) an incredibly dirty mind; and 2) a really fantastic writing style.

Co'Joe, I salute you!

Fun Stuff for Easter

Well, maybe this first one isn't so fun, just a little…weird.  Filipino Devotees Nailed to the Cross.

Check out the history and origins of the Easter Bunny.  Fun Fact: In Australia, it's the Easter Bilby (a marsupial) because rabbits are considered pests.

Easter Eggs:  Not just something found in your Easter basket…or on Lost!  (Check out The Daily Show egg…it made me laugh!)

Here are some neat alternatives to the traditional practice of dying Easter eggs.

Make your own Easter basket and fill it with something other than chocolate (although chocolate is good too!).

Is there any way at all I can customize this thing?  Or even upload a different template?

Help me!

You wish your cat was as awesome as my cat!

And you’re gonna be wishing that forever, cause no cat could ever surpass Teddy in awesomeness! Except one of my other cats. I took this picture on a snow day awhile back.  The light was perfect so I didn’t need a flash.  It is really pretty, so I thought I’d share it with you. And also, what do you think of the new layout?

Hello world!

My name is Erin and I am a journalist looking for a job (anyone want to hire me?).  In the meantime, I’m looking for a way to write about the things I find interesting.  Hence this blog.

So what do I find interesting?  Almost everything.  Here you’ll find stories about science, music, celebrities, television, movies, animals and anything else I feel is way neat-o.  Hopefully you’ll enjoy it and if not…you can go away.

The title of this blog comes from the e.e. cummings poem “anyone lived in a pretty how town.”  e.e. is quite possibly my favorite poet ever, and “many bells down” seemed like a fun name for this.

Thanks for stopping by…I hope you’ll come back soon!
